GLOBAL HEALTH INITIATIVE
Optimal infectious disease care for the most vulnerable in low-income countries
Improving infectious disease care in Sub-Saharan Africa
Global Health Initiative is a non-profit foundation dedicated to improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in Sub-Saharan Africa.
In many parts of the region, patients still lack access to reliable diagnostic tests. As a result, infections are missed, antibiotics are overused, and effective treatment is delayed. We work to change this by supporting applied clinical research, innovative diagnostics and sustainable local partnerships.
Our projects focus on diseases such as malaria, sexually transmitted infections, severe bacterial infections and meningitis, with one clear goal: ensuring that patients receive the right diagnosis and the right treatment at the right time.
